Ingredients
6 GadouaTM Sesame Hamburger 8 Buns | |
12-18 breaded chicken strips (2-3 large strips per sandwich) | |
1 cup tomato sauce (not chunky) plus 1 cup for assembly | |
6 slices mozzarella cheese | |
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese |
Instructions
1 | Cook/heat breaded chicken strips according to package directions-10 mins in the air fryer! |
2 | Set oven to broil, with the rack adjusted to the middle of the oven. |
3 | On a baking tray lined with parchment, group hot chicken strips together in two or threes, depending on size. |
4 | Spoon tomato sauce generously over the strips and top with a slice of Mozzarella cheese to cover the chicken. |
5 | Place the tray in the oven and broil the assembled chicken strips until cheese is melted and evenly browned and bubbly (about 2-3 minutes) along with another tray with buns to lightly toast. |
6 | While cheese in melting, warm 1 cup sauce. |
7 | Remove from oven and keep in a warm place. |
8 | To assemble the sandwiches, spread sauce on bottom halves of buns, use a spatula to transfer the groups of chicken strips on top, layer one more round of sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese and top with second half of bun. |
9 | Serve immediately, with either a side salad or raw veggies and enjoy! |
