Ingrédients
2 Hamburger 12 Buns
1 Tbsp. (15 ml) Butter, softened
6 pieces Crispy Chicken (Nuggets or strips), warmed, prepared as per package instructions (*option to use breaded meat alternative to make this recipe plant based)
2 Tbsp. (60 ml) Maple Syrup
Hot sauce (optional)
2 Eggs (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat the waffle iron. Butter interior sides of each slices for the buns. Place buns cut/ buttered side down into the waffle iron, pressing firmly when closing the lid. Cook for 2 – 2.5 minutes until buns are golden brown, crisped but still soft in center and have taken the impression of the waffle iron.
2. Place 3 pieces of crispy chicken between each waffled bun half, and drizzle with maple syrup and hot sauce. If desired add an over easy or over hard fried egg into the sandwich.
