Ingredients
12 Slices GadouaTM Moelleux Thick Sliced Club Sandwich White Bread | |
4 cup warm cooked chicken breast, shredded | |
1 can (284 ml/10 ounces) peas, drained | |
Hot Chicken Sauce | |
6 tbsp. butter | |
1/2 cup flour | |
4 cups store bought beef broth | |
1 tbsp. ketchup | |
1 tsp dry mustard | |
1 tsp chili powder | |
1/4 tsp paprika | |
pinch cayenne (or to taste) | |
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce | |
1/2 tsp onion salt | |
pinch salt and pepper |
Instructions
For Easy Hot Chicken Sandwiches |

1 | Divide the chicken among 6 slices of Gadoua® bread (about 3/4 cup per sandwich). |
2 | Drizzle hot chicken sauce over the chicken as desired. |
3 | Top with remaining 6 slices of bread and cover top slice with hot chicken sauce. Top with 2-3 tablespoons of peas on each sandwich-or a little more on the kids’ sandwiches! |
Hot Chicken Sauce |

1 | Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and cook, stirring constantly, until golden, about 3 minutes. |
2 | Add dry spices and cook for 1 more minute. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil while whisking. |
3 | Simmer gently, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes. Adjust the seasoning to taste. |
4 | Cover and keep warm until sandwiches are assembled. |
